Environmental Management Plans

Environmental Management Plans

Environmental management plans and programs. Managerdemediu.ro has the role of providing the necessary support for the Romanian and foreign companies in designing all categories of environmental plans and programs, regardless of the procedural nature they imply.

For activities potentially producing hazardous events generated by the hazardous substances used. Implementation of legal specifications, specific measures to mitigate the risk of impact on environmental factors, employee’s health and on the quality of environmental factors within the perimeter of the designated SEVESO site.

Based on the intention to regulate and minimize as much as possible the amount of impact of a specific activity on the environment in the area where it is carried out. The PMM also has the capacity to support that activity in the context of identifiable and quantifiable reduction of the impact by specifying compensatory and preventive measures to achieve the lowest quantifiable environmental impact.

The plan for optimisation and reduction of quantities of wastes generated from current activities is concerned with carrying out of an updated analysis of the waste generating technological processes, as well as performing a quantitative calculation for the waste produced at the source and their breakdown in classes of environmental impact, with the specific emphasis of the points where the technological wastes are produced and, implicitly, the quantification of the specific production times.

Consultancy for Environmental Plans and Programs

The environmental expertise accumulated during the years of environmental protection projects is used as solid support for the future development of environmental management plans and specific plans (Seveso Plan, Emergency Plan, and Waste Minimisation Plan according to the Waste Management Legislation) necessary and required by environmental authorities.

In line with the current legislative specifications, the Seveso plan component is based on the SEVESO III Directive amended concerning the major accident provisions due to hazardous chemicals, thus adopting a new Directive 2012/18/EU replacing Directive 96/82/CE – Seveso II and the provisions stipulated by Order no. 647/2005 for the approval of Methodological Norms concerning the elaboration of emergency plans in case of accidents involving dangerous substances. Methodological Norms have been published at the level of Ministry of Internal Affairs, regarding the development of emergency plans in case of accidents involving dangerous substances, thus by Law no. 59/2016 concerning the control of major accident risks implying dangerous substances, a series of specific and useful regulations are established in the development of action plans on interventions, the prevention of accidents and various references to restoration methodologies of sites affected by a potential environmental accident.

The team managerdemediu.ro can provide, through its experts and direct collaborators, the necessary support in case of special interventions in accidental pollution situations, as well as the necessary logistic support for intervention with special materials in order to decontaminate the areas affected by a major environmental accident, where dangerous substances were also involved.

The recommendations contained in the produced waste minimisation plan will be very specific, such as: setting of environmental objectives to activate internally the procedures for reducing the quantities of waste produced, the reduction to the source of the quantities of waste, the improvement of the control at the sources of production of industrial-technological wastes and hazardous wastes, provision of informational support for facilitating the selective and responsible collection of waste, checking the compliance with the principles of separation of non-hazardous and hazardous waste, labelling of collection areas, details of obligations concerning the transport of waste, way to fill in the internal records of the waste management records and other recommendations specified in the environmental legislation in force.
